Six brand new zones to serve the specific needs of the region’s end-users and supply chain
CAPAS upholds a clear objective to elevate its leading role in the region as a one-stop platform for business, information exchange and investment. In light of this, six brand new zones are designed to provide a comprehensive marketplace for every sector involved in the supply chain.
The Commercial Vehicle Zone and E-mobility & Infrastructure Zone, in particular, expanded to accommodate the robust demand on both sectors.
Chengdu is at the key logistic hub in the “One Belt, One Road” initiative and is experiencing rapid growth in the demand of commercial vehicles. Backed by the accelerating market and the China Commercial Vehicle Parts Market Federation, the Commercial Vehicle Zone grows with strong support from market leaders including: Beiqi Foton, Binzhou Bohai, Bosch, Gates, Knorr-Bremse, SAIC-IVECO, SINO TRUCK, TIANRUN CRANKSHAFT and WABCO. Highlights include: “Commercial Vehicle Services and Branding Strategy – Chengdu”, “Summit for Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket Development in Southwest China”, and “Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Spare Parts Procurement Conference”.
Driven by China’s recent environmental policies and commitments to environmental protection, new energy has become an industry priority in the Sichuan province. The E-mobility & Infrastructure Zone expands into an entire hall to amplify the need. In this expansive space, the zone puts together well-known overseas and domestic car-makers, OE manufacturers and dealers of new energy vehicles to present their latest technologies. Products unveiled in the zone include charging infrastructure, connected cars, new energy vehicles and related parts & components. Fairgoers can also learn first-hand information about the latest market development from industry leaders such as BAIC MOTOR, BYD, Changan Automobile, Chery, GEELY Auto, General Motors, KIA, Lincoln, Porsche, SAIC Motor, Volvo, Zotye Auto, together with key players from Sichuan, including RAJA, Shudu Bus, Xinzhu Tonggong, and YEMA.
The other four equally important zones include the Supply Chain Procurement Zone that converges leading companies and pavilions of industrial parks to showcase quality products and the latest technologies in the fair; the Quick Fix & Replacement Parts Zone that features equipment, tools, replacement parts and branded quick repair chain stores at a single stage; the Automobile Life Style Zone that presents a diverse culture of driving styles to participants through accessories and customisation products, as well as a range of lively activities; and the Made in Sichuan Zone that promotes regional expertise by gathering manufacturers and suppliers from Sichuan.
With this upgraded business platform, CAPAS obtained tremendous support from multiple industry associations. Nineteen buyer groups from 13 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities organised by the Automotive Auto Parts Industry Association of Chengdu (AAPIA), Automobile Repair Industry Association of Yunnan Province, Chongqing Automobile Maintenance and Repair Industry Association, Chongqing Automobile Parts Industry Association and Guiyang Motor Vehicles Industry Chamber of Commerce will visit the fair.
Twenty two fringe programme events integrate information exchange, education and networking
In addition to the rich sourcing options, the three-day show will feature a total of 22 fringe events covering topics on new energy and connected mobility, commercial vehicle, repair and maintenance, and accessories and customising. Show participants will gain valuable opportunities to share market insights and strengthen their business networks with industry experts. Two of the highlights are “CAPAS Academy 2017” and “The Fourth Automotive Maintenance Service Innovation Seminar”.
CAPAS Academy 2017 is dedicated to share the latest developments and applications in new energy and connected mobility. The automotive industry is experiencing a transformation for low carbonisation and intelligent development.
