DMP2009 Attracts 63,000 Buyers As Economy Rebounds
Exhibitors Are Pleased With The Result
DMP2009—the 11th China Dongguan International Mould, Metalworking, Plastics, Packaging & Rubber
Exhibition was held from 18-21 November 2009 at GD Modern International Exhibition Center, Houjie, Dongguan, China.
DMP 2009 drew a large crowd of exhibitors and buyers meeting with the China’s economic
turn up in the last quarter of 2009.  With 2,200 booths, 720 exhibitors and 63,000 visitors,
the Exhibition is still a great event in China despite last year’s financial crisis.  The industrial
suppliers and the end users highly value DMP2009.  Ms. Cho, secretary of the Dongguan
Machinery Association commented that their members were so happy with the result ever
had in DMP2009.  Mr. Eddie Leung, Managing Director of Paper Communication Exhibition
Services said the strong defeat the weak in the global financial crisis, so only strong comp
anies survive.  We were told that renowned exhibitors like Makino had sold at least two
machines on site.

Over 20 Technical Seminars Held Concurrently
Mould Efficiency and Costing Seminar and “EPICO” Advanced Mould Design and Manufacturing
Technology Conference were held during DMP2009.  Moreover, the organizer invited leading
specialists in the field of metalworking and plastic injection moulding, the Hong Kong Mould &
Die Technology Association and Hong Kong Diecasting and Foundry Association to be the
speakers of the concurrent conference and seminars.  Mould, plastics, metal, tooling,
diecasting, foundry, application of software, steel, plastics materials were the focuses of
seminars.

Market News
Blooming market. It is anticipated that economic growth increases by 7.5% and 8% in China
and Guangdong province respectively in 2009.
China’s GDP increased by 7.7% from January to September 2009.
Guangdong’s GDP increased by 8.6% from January to October 2009.
Dongguan’s GDP increased by 14% in 2008.
Dongguan is located at the center of the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong, China, half way
between Guangzhou and Hong Kong.  Dongguan is the largest industrial base in South
China and a worldwide renowned manufacturing city.  Dongguan has over 180 industrial
districts and economic parks.
