這類偵測器是根據國際照明協會(CIE)制定的規範，專門量測光的照度及亮度的偵測器。這類偵測器具有直徑1公分的感測範圍，外殼為鋁合金加上陽極 染黑處理，BNC接頭，總的外觀直徑為3公分。 內含可以校正人眼函數的濾片及日本Hamamatsu的矽晶片，造成極高精密度的人眼函數感測器。這類偵測器亦是模擬人眼視覺的感測器。光譜範圍為 380-780nm，高峰值為550nm，絕對誤差為3%左右，相對誤差可達0.5%，量測單位為”安培對照度”，絕對線性。此偵測器可追朔至度量衡國家 標準實驗室。針對客戶需求亦提供兩種外觀尺寸可選擇。
It is a 1cm² active area, BNC package detector. The detector combine silicon photodiode and a multiple element colored glass filter. The glass filter is designed to correct the detector spectral response to the desired spectral response and duplicates the response of the most commonly available optical aid-the human eye. The eye senses both brightness and color, with response varying as a function of the wavelength. This response curve is commonly known as the CIE curve. Illuminance is defined as the visible light per unit area falling on a surface. N.M.L./Taiwan Traceable calibrations are available in lux (lumens/m2) and foot-candles (lumens/ft²).
